Yes. Not only is Lady Luck gone, but some - not all - of my recent deletes that had come back, are now gone again without my having re-deleted them. All I have ever done is (1) click on "Remove Items," (2) Click on the red "X's" and wait until the icon disappears, and then (3) click on "Remove Items," once more so that the red "X's" disappear. Did you do anything different?

Jeff,

After responding to your post, I went back and deleted a dozen books I've tried several times to delete before. And now they're back. I must be doing something wrong but I have no idea what it could be.

not likely your fault. could be either a bug or search engine issues. can you post the link or title of two you would like removed so i can test your account?

Certainly. I'd appreciate someone deleting the following four titles:

A Companion to Late Antiquity, edited by Philip Rousseau;

Twenty Years' Recollections of an Irish Police Magistrate, by Frank Porter;

Seets i' Yorkshire and Lancashire by John Hartley; and

Seets i' Lundun by John Hartley.

Thank you very much, Jeff, for your help.

Thank you very much indeed, Jeff. The four books are gone. I'll keep my eye out for their reappearance, which is what happens when I delete them. May I ask whether the technique used is something I can do myself or do "specialists" need to do it from "headquarters?"

I see that for some reason you've "removed" your response of early this morning. No sense working on this on Sunday. Whenever you can get back to me this week will be fine.

Thanks again.

After assuring myself that your deletions remain deleted (at least until now - 3:32 P.M. 5/5 EDT) I myself deleted another half dozen volumes as to which we'll see. I have no idea how this will turn out.

Tuesday.

The books you and your folk deleted have remained deleted. The books I deleted on Sunday and Monday (yesterday) have all come back.

So again, I have to ask you to try and put down in words just what it is that you or your people have done. All I do is (1) fully open all of my favorites (four or five screens); (2) Click on "Remove favorites;" (3) Click on the "X" by the book to be removed and wait until it disappears; then (4) when all books to be removed have been removed, go back to the top of the favorites and click again on "Remove favorites" and wait for the red "X's" to disappear.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Great! Was anything done in addition to or instead of just (1) clicking on remove favorites; (2) clicking on the red "X" next to the books; and (3) clicking again on "Remove Favorites"?

I'll be interested to see if any of the removed favorites you have just eliminated "come back." If they do not then there is something about your situation within the computer hierarchy permitting you to be more effective in elimination than I am here on the outside. As of this moment they are still deleted.

Thanks again,
